Polypropylene Fibres TREVON
FOOTWARE AND MANMADE LEATHER
Applications
The TREVON fibers (the high shrinkage type PKH) can be engaged in the production of manmade leather and other materials having the features of compacted nonwoven fabrics like:
- inner parts
- separating layers
- wadding materials
- other components
for the production of
bags and other luggage, shoes (children s to sport shoes), slippers, belts, balls...
Appropriate TREVON fibers
Titer approx. 1 - 3,5 dtex
Cut length 30, 40, 50 ,60 mm
* letter V stands for tenacity above 40 cN/tex and W for tenacity over 45 cN/tex (see Figure )
Finishes and properties
To the utilization of TREVON fibers in above mentioned areas (where the final products must have very compact structure) they should have (besides sound and heat insulating properties, abrasion and tear resistance and appropriate weight) following properties:
- high shrinkage - TREVON fibers show high shrinking (about 30-40%) becoming fully effective by thermal processing at temperatures of approx. 150° C
- good tenacity
- soft touch
- optional hydrophobic or hydrophilic (water repellency or absorbency) properties
- UV/light stability
- flame retardancy
- high color fastness
